The 1015 - Abraham: A Promise Made by Westway Christian Church

After showing how sin spread through the world and fractured every part of God’s good creation, Genesis turns its attention to one man and one family. God calls Abraham and makes a remarkable promise—to give him descendants, a land, and to bless all nations through him. Yet the story quickly reveals that Abraham and his family are far from perfect, repeatedly struggling with fear, doubt, and self-reliance. Despite their failures, God remains faithful to His word and continues to accomplish His purposes. Through every challenge, setback, and delay, God demonstrates that His promises depend ultimately on His faithfulness rather than human performance. As we follow Abraham’s journey, we begin to see how God’s plan of redemption unfolds and points us forward to Jesus, through whom God’s promised blessing reaches the world.
