Western Nebraska Community College (WNCC) offers all the advantages of a small college but with the experiences of a large university. With a multitude of student organizations, endless activities, and Cougar athletics, it’s easy to get involved and stay involved as you advance toward an exciting future that is uniquely your own.

Located in the Western Nebraska Panhandle, WNCC has three campus locations in Alliance, Scottsbluff, and Sidney. For students interested in working toward a bachelor’s, master’s, or doctorate degree, WNCC has articulation agreements with other educational institutions. This allows the seamless transfer of our Associate of Occupational Studies degree into specific degree programs. 

The John N. Harms Center of Nebraska (HATC) was established at WNCC to develop workplace skills for individuals and employers through education responsive to community and economic needs. HATC, with its state-of-the-art facility, is devoted to progressive thinking, quality instruction, public service, and promoting the success of a diverse community.

The University of Nebraska-Lincoln Panhandle Research and Extension Center, located in Scottsbluff, houses the faculty of UNL’s Institute of Agriculture and Natural Resources (IANR). Most of the faculty hold joint appointments in research and extension.

Nebraska Extension brings University of Nebraska expertise and research in eight key areas of impact directly to Nebraskans from all walks of life in each of the state’s 93 counties.
