Western Nebraska Housing Opportunities (WNHO) assists low to moderate-income households in obtaining safe, well-maintained, and affordable housing options in Western Nebraska.

Repair Assistance Program

WNHO specifically offers repair assistance to help you repair safety and code issues to bring your potential purchase to compliance for the sale to be completed

Down Payment Assistance

WNHO specifically offers down payment assistance to help income-qualified households at or below 120 percent of the average median income to purchase a home. Since 2004, WNHO has helped 304 families with closing costs assistance to purchase their homes.

Purchase, Rehab, Resale Program

WNHO also buys vacant, run-down properties with the Purchase, Rehab, Resale Program. WNHO buys the property, brings it up to standard, and sells the home to an income-qualified family. This vital work helps families obtain homeownership, improves and strengthens our neighborhoods, and helps keep the community a place of pride.

Rental Rehab Program

WNHO also has a Rental Rehab Program that has been used to buy vacant, run-down properties to convert them to multi-family rental housing units. These clean, desirable units are rented to income-qualified households at affordable rates.
