TCD Focuses on Housing
Twin Cities Development (TCD) understands that sufficient and reliable housing is required for workforce and economic development. Even more importantly, it supports our residents, no matter who they are or what stage of life they are in. Life is pretty great in our region, and we aim to make it easy to take advantage of it.
To this end, TCD has worked to:
- Organize resources, education, and listings for the consumer.
- Develop a Rural Workforce Housing Fund for developers and contractors.
- Invest in apartment complexes: Downtown, Northfield, Eastwood, and Northfield Haven.
We want to ensure our residents and folks, like traveling nurses and Riverside Zoo interns, have quality places to live.
We will soon establish Northfield Haven, a groundbreaking independent-living housing for adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities. The housing project is the vision of local parents who contacted TCD about the creation of a safe independent-living community for their loved ones. Northfield Haven will be the solution for their family members to stay in our hometown, rather than hundreds of miles away.
The Western Nebraska Panhandle is where you can start your career, your family, or live out your golden retirement years. In our communities of Gering, Scottsbluff, Bayard, Terrytown, Minatare, Mitchell, Morrill in Scotts Bluff County; Bridgeport in Morrill County; and Kimball in Kimball County, there are lovely established neighborhoods with parks and excellent schools and rural acreage to really spread out in. In addition to the modern and updated TCD apartment complexes, there are numerous senior communities and assisted-living facilities. Many are undergoing expansions.
TCD strives to act as a comprehensive resource and active force to organize, increase, and improve our region's housing supply. Please fully explore our Housing section, but do not hesitate to contact us with any questions. We are here to help!
