Shooters who want to try their first 3-Gun match
Shooters who have competed but want more confidence and education
Firearm owners comfortable with pistol, rifle, and shotgun who want structured training in a competition setting
Prefer Basic Level Course on any platform (pistol, rifle, or shotgun). Students must be safe and comfortable handling all three firearms.
Firearms safety (general and competition-specific)
Overview and function of pistol, rifle, and shotgun
3-Gun rules, divisions, and scoring
Equipment selection and setup
Match etiquette and range commands
Stage planning fundamentals
Loading, moving, and shooting in a competition setting
Gun-to-gun transitions
Shooting on the move
Practical stage breakdowns using the “crawl, walk, run” method
Live stage simulations to prepare for match conditions
By the end of training day, you’ll feel prepared.

Pistol: 75–150 rounds
Rifle: 75–150 rounds
Shotgun: 75–150 rounds

Pistol (9mm minimum) and at least two magazines
Retention holster (no soft nylon holsters permitted)
Magazine pouch
Sturdy belt
Rifle (.223/5.56) and at least two magazines
Shotgun (12 or 20 gauge)
Eye protection
Ear/hearing protection
Ammunition (see above)
Sturdy footwear
Long pants recommended
No low-cut or deep V-neck tops
We have loaner guns and equipment available.
We will work with you prior to the course to ensure you have everything you need.
This course is about building skill—not testing your equipment budget.
