Description: Training Topics: SBA Mentor-Protégé Program Information. The Small Business Administration (SBA) and Department of Defense (DoD) Mentor-Protege programs are Federal Contracting relationships that allow two businesses to formally partner together to mutually seek government contracts. The programs allow two businesses to take advantage of the certifications, knowledge, and capabilities of the other company they engage in a relationship with. Attendees will learn:
The specifics of the SBA Mentor-Protege program and how it benefits a small business and another business partner
The specifics of the DoD Mentor-Protege program and how it benefits a large business and a small business and assists with securing Department of Defense work
Some considerations to make when deciding to pursue a MPP agreement
Some next steps to completing the SBA MPP process

ABOUT THE SPEAKER: Lisa Tedesco is the Deputy District Director for the U.S. Small Business Administration's Nebraska office. Ms. Tedesco oversees the government contracting arm of the SBA for Nebraska businesses, which includes oversight on the 8(a) Program, the HUBZone program, the SBA Mentor-Protege program, and WOSB and SDVOSB certifications.
