Jamie grew up in Gering and has spent her entire career in the Food Industry. She is a graduate of Johnson & Wales University Denver with a Bachelor’s degree in Food Service Management and an Associate's degree in Culinary Arts. She worked thirteen years in catering at the Gering Civic Center and Epicurean Catering in Denver before opening her own restaurant, The Mixing Bowl in 2013 and now runs the restaurant with her husband Allen Taylor in Gering. Jamie is a board member of Panhandle Business Professional Women acting as treasurer, a board member of the Golden Halo Foundation, a member of the Gering Merchants, a Midwest Theater volunteer, and has served as a volunteer for the Puppack Program for Gering Public Schools. She is an avid Husker and WNCC Cougar volleyball fan and enjoys traveling and camping with her husband and dogs.
