November

".prospective
businesses received approval for funding during the Scottsbluff City
Council meeting on Monday.
Physician
Partnerships, Inc.had their application for LB840 and CDBG (Community
Development Block Grants) funding approved by the council.
Physician
Partnerships, Inc. requested $75,000 in funding with $25,000 coming
from LB840, which will be retired by employing five full-time employees
for five years. The business requested $50,000 from the revolving loan
fund, which will be paid over a period of five years. The company is
planning to begin business the first of the year and will be affiliated
with Horizon's West Medical Group. The company plans to offer incoming
physicians billing services so they can concentrate on providing care
and not paperwork, said spokesperson Gary Bien. He said they plan to
have nine full-time positions and will operate on 1st Avenue , behind
the old NPPD building.
Rawnda
Pierce, Director of Twin Cities Development, said they have spent more
than 45 days on this proposal and the business will use some work stations
from the former Sykes building, which she said has reduced the cost
of the project."
