RIVERSIDE ZOO

Located at 1600 South Beltline West in Scottsbluff on 23 acres.

North of the North Platte River and Scotts Bluff National Monument.

Accredited by the American Zoo & Aquarium Association.

 

Houses about 250 animals, including reptiles, birds, and mammals

and represents more than 70 species.

   


Riverside Zoo participates in many programs and partnerships to

support and encourage wildlife and natural resource conservation.

Activities are made possible in large part by support from guests and members.

   


In cooperation with the American Zoo and Aquarium Association (AZA)

Riverside Zoo participates in the Species Survival Program (SSP) for

several species of imperiled wildlife, including the Red Panda, Chimpanzee,

Spider Monkey and Cinereous Vulture.

Thanks to cooperative and scientific management the future of many

species is brighter today than just a few years ago.

 


Playground & petting zoo available for children.

Campgrounds & picnic areas adjacent to the zoo.

Birthday parties can also be held, inside or out, depending on the weather.


Riverside Zoo hosts many community events throughout the year,

including the annual Spooktacular during Halloween week.
