The Gering Arts Festival is a Celebration of the Arts featuring talents and works of 40+ local and regional fine artists. Demonstrations, sales, food vendors and children's arts activities.

The Gering Arts Festival began in 2001.  Originally held in downtown Gering on a Saturday in June, the Festival was moved to Legion Park in Gering in 2005 to provide vendors and those attending an environment with shade and picnic tables.

Artists include Mary Hunt, Jenifer Berge, Jo Haslow, Gary Morgan, Ron Kephart and others.  New artists in 2005 include Dawn tallmon and Joi Phelps.

Legion Park's stage provided a place for a variety of entertainers, including the Los Guadalupanos Cultural Dancers, The Hebbert Singers, the Society for Creative Anachronism, German singers, Kathy Tabor's School of Dance, the Monument Wesleyan Band, the Monument Quartet, the Theatre West Performers, the Sugar Valley Singers, and the Gering Community Band.

Several food vendors were also on hand, and the children's "Sidewalk Chalk Art Contest" was held.
